Warranty

What's covered on every container and conversion we supply.

Last updated: August 2026

Iron Box Containers stands behind the quality of every unit we supply. This page sets out what's covered, for how long, and how to make a claim.

New Containers

All new (one-trip) containers are supplied CSC certified and carry a wind-and-watertight guarantee from the date of delivery, covering structural leaks under normal use and storage conditions.

Used Containers

Used containers are sold according to their inspected grade (Cargo-Worthy, Wind & Watertight, or As-Is) at the time of sale. The condition disclosed in the inspection report at point of sale reflects the unit's warranty status — As-Is units are sold with no wind-and-watertight guarantee.

Modifications & Conversions

All fabrication work — including doors, windows, insulation, electrical and custom conversions — carries a 12-month workmanship warranty covering defects in materials or installation.

What's Covered

  • ✓ Structural leaks on new containers (wind-and-watertight guarantee)
  • ✓ Workmanship defects on modifications, for 12 months from delivery
  • ✓ Faulty electrical or refrigeration installations carried out by our team

What's Not Covered

  • Damage from misuse, overloading, or improper siting
  • Normal wear and tear, surface rust or cosmetic weathering over time
  • Modifications or repairs carried out by a third party after delivery
  • As-Is graded used containers
